How do I get better ball control?
I was on JV last year, but our team had 16 people, which was way too much. Our coach says this year it’ll be way more competitive to make the team. I’ve been playing occasionally, but my overall ball control hasn’t been improving over the last couple months. Are there any drills or tips that will help me practice and get ready for tryouts?
im assuming when you say ball control your meaning when you bump. bumping can be really hard to control, but there are some tips that you can use to help control your passes. 1. make sure your staying low!! this is one of the most important ones. bend your knees, keep your butt low, with your knees just a little over your toes. 2. when you pass the ball, do NOT swing your arms. instead (and i no this is hard to understand…i wish i could just show you lol) but instead of swinging, shrug your shoulders. (this is going to sound weird but to kind of show you what i mean. 1. hold your arms straight out 2. now join your hands together as if you were passing a ball 3. no roll your shoulders in a circular motion. this is kinda What You do when you contact the ball…..use your shoulders it makes all the difference) 3. make sure your feet are pointed to your target bc where ever your feet are pointed thats most likely where the ball will go….i hope this helps !!! i wish you the best of luck and just remember to have fun!!!
